housemates needed!
wot's so great about living at akemi??
* akemi is an important d.i.y underground venue and space in the blue mountains. by joining the akemi crew, you'll have the opportunity to be a part of a range of community, artistic and activist programs.
* if you're an artist or musician you have access to an awesome shop front space to jam/record and a backyard artists studio space to work in + plenty of equipment to use for your own creative ventures.
* you get exposed to experimental/underground music from all over the world that is regularly performed at akemi
* akemi sits directly opposite medlow bath train station, so public transport is but a hop skip and jump away.
* living with great, functional but slightly bonkers, open minded, motivated relatively healthy people.
* watch projected movies doco's etc of all description on a big screen with surround sound.
* fantastic native bush surrounds and walks just minutes away from the house.
* incredible awe inspiring views of megalong valley!!
* cheap but good rooms, only $67 a week!!
* gas and fireside heating in winter.
who are we after??
* reliable, moderately balanced people, who are working, studying or passionately engaged in some artistic venture.
* people who are excited about contributing to akemi's artistic and/or political events and gigs.
get in touch with garageland if you're interested!
please go and support this stuff, and if you don't like any of it, start something you do like! there could never be too much good stuff happening.
