an exploration of the audiovisual subconscious. developed over a one-week residency, immersion brings together eight of australia’s leading audiovisual artists to explore immersive techniques. released from corporeal entertainment immersion: electrical empathy will find a unity between space, sound & images creating a new performative experience that is sumptuous & saturating.

satanis (1970)

an up-close look at church of satan founder anton lavey and the satanic shenanigans filmed inside his infamous san francisco "black house" back in 1969, "satanis, the devil's mass" is a wonderfully oddball documentary inside one of america's darkest pop-culture curiosities. along with nude women decorating the altar to a man dressed as a bishop who gets his fanny whipped before climbing in a coffin, you're treated to interviews with lavey and his flock along with various startled neighbors! plus a selection of vintage devilish cartoons.

no through road (solo) - before matt banham got a band he used to do an incredibly affecting solo set under the name his band now dons, no through road, this is it.
sydney city council - to be honest i know very little about scc except the songs i've heard, i love. i can't give you much more, i'm afraid.

schlock-king roger corman does it again, as only he can. tipping his hat to the 1950’s horror movie with the added ingredient of extremely offensive goriness. it all starts (as these types of films always do) with a scientific experiment backfiring and producing horrific mutations: half man, half fish which terrorize a small fishing village by killing the men to acquire the women for mating purposes. annandale hotel 7.30 pm donation
